Taiwanese hardware giant Acer hasannounced its Iconia Tab A200. Measuring 260 x 175 x 12.4 mm, Iconia Tab A200weighs 720 gram. Featuring a 10.1-inch capacitive multitouch display, IconiaTab A200 comes with a WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

The tablet will feature a 2megapixel front camera, however, the rear camera has been dropped reportedly tomake it a bit cheaper.

Under the hood is NVIDIA Tegra 2SoC chipset and a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor running at 1GHz per corealong with a ULP GeForce graphics engine that packs 8 cores.

The tablet will come in twoversions, 8GB and 16GB, along with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

For improved multitasking, TabA200 will come with Acer Ring interface for setting easy-access apps from anyscreen. It also features Screenshot, which captures web images, articles,Google Maps and even smiling faces from video calls.

Presently the tablet will shipwith Android 3.2 OS ( Honeycomb), however, beginning January 2012, the tab isexpected to get Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update. No information isavailable on the tablet's pricing yet.
