Now, Creative will be yet anothercompany to launch its Android touting tablet device in the Indian Market. Yes,Creative is the same company which is known for its portable audio and mediaplayers, but most of you might be aware that many companies are jumping on thetablet bandwagon hence, so have Creative. The company is quite popular amongstIndia consumers however, they have been a bit quite in recent years and thesenew devices may get them back in action.

So, the guys have launched twonew tablet devices under the new ZiiO line-up and they include the ZiiO 7-inchand ZiiO 10-inch Pure Wireless Entertainment Tablets. While both the tabletshave been unveiled back in last year, they have reached the Indian shores now.These tablets run Google’s Android 2.2 mobile operating system better known asFroYo and they are running on a ZiiLABS ZMS-08 HD Media-Rich Processor. Itseems like these have been specifically designed for music enthusiasts as bothcome with their Sound Blaster, X-Fi Crystalizer and X-Fi Expand audioenhancement technologies. Furthermore, the guys have also claimed that thesedevices are specifically designed to offer users with the best wireless audioperformance on an Android tablet as they would be able to connect to Creative’snew range of wireless Bluetooth headphones and speakers which are A2DPcompatible.

As mentioned above the guys haveannounced two tablets – a 7-inch version and a 10-inch version. The 7-inchversion comes with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution screen while the 10-inchversion will come with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display and both willinclude a resistive touchscreen. This is the only major difference in thetablets as other features include Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth with A2DP +EDRand apt-X, 720p HDMI output support, front facing VGA camera, 3.5mm audio jack,built-in microphone. Users can opt-in for an 8GB or a 16GB version according totheir preference while both will support expandable memory via microSD card.

As the focus of the tablet is todeliver rich media performance it supports a video formats including H.264,MPEG4, WMV9, MJPEG, MOV, AVI and MKV while the audio formats supported includeAP#, ACC, WMA9, FLAC, OGG, ADPCM, MIDI, WAV and Audible Format 4. As thetablets have a resistive touchscreen they comes with a stylus and otheraccessories include a leather case, screen protector and universal poweradapter.

The Creative ZiiO 8GB tabletswill be available via select outlets and the 7-inch is priced at Rs. 17,999while the 10-inch is priced at Rs. 21,999. The pricing for the 16GB models areyet to be announced.

The Creative ZiiO touch tablet isthe world’s first Apt-x enabled touch screen tablet, which runs on android. Itdelivers a fuss-free bluetooth pairing experience which you will ever ever havewith the Creative’s extensive range of speakers and headphones.
