iball slide launches tablet @ Rs 13,995
NEW DELHI: The budget tabletmarket seems to be getting hotter day-by-day. Computer peripherals maker iBallhas launched its first Android tablet Slide in the Indian market priced at Rs13,995.

Sporting a 7-inch capacitivemulti-touch display, Slide has a 2 megapixel front camera, USB host and HDMIoutput.
 
As for the memory, the tabletwill pack 8GB built-in memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.

Powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8processor, the tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. For connectivity,iBall Slide will come with Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G (via Dongle, not built-in).

With 4400 mAh battery, thecompany claims iBall Slide will offer up to 6.5 hours of music and up to 5hours of video.


Over the past few weeks, theIndian market witnessed a slew of budget tablet launches. Mercury launched itsfirst Android tablet mTab priced at Rs 9,499. Measuring 19.3 X 11.7 X 1.4 cm,mTab sports a 7-inch WVGA TFT LCD touch display, G sensor screen rotation for3D G-games and weighs mere 400 grams. The tablet runs on Android 2.3Gingerbread and is powered by 1.2 GHz triple core processor.


A Bharti Enterprises groupcompany Beetel Teletech also launched Beetel Magiq, a low-cost Android tablet.The seven-inch tablet, which runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), has been priced at Rs9,999.

Magiq's screen has a resolutionof 480 x 800 pixels. The tablet has two 2MP cameras and supports phone callsthrough a compatible Bluetooth headset. It is powered by a 1Ghz processor. Ithas 8GB internal storage, expandable up to 24GB through a 16GB SD card.According to some tech experts, the tablet is a re-branded Huawei S7 tablet.

According to the company, the 4400 mAhlithium-ion-battery will provide up to 6.5 hours of music along with 5 hours ofvideo. The iball slide tab supports HD quality videos and 3D games. The iballtab comes to India which is priced at Rs 13,995. The tablet features almost allfacilities like web browsing-mail, chat, social networking, gaming, visualsearch and much more.

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshanis the brand ambassador of the iball tablet.

It has now become a trustfulcompetition as the new entry iball slide budgeting less than 15,000 has enteredthe tablet market. Beetel magiq tablet priced at Rs 9,499 which is doing wellin the market. The iball slide would be the fourth tablet launched rangingbetween Rs 10,000- 15,000 category. The company plans to make the slideavailable all over India in the coming days.
