NEW DELHI: The budget tabletmarket seems to be getting hotter day-by-day. Computer peripherals maker iBallhas launched its first Android tablet Slide in the Indian market priced at Rs13,995.
Sporting a 7-inch capacitivemulti-touch display, Slide has a 2 megapixel front camera, USB host and HDMIoutput.
As for the memory, the tabletwill pack 8GB built-in memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.
Powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8processor, the tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. For connectivity,iBall Slide will come with Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G (via Dongle, not built-in).
With 4400 mAh battery, thecompany claims iBall Slide will offer up to 6.5 hours of music and up to 5hours of video.
A Bharti Enterprises groupcompany Beetel Teletech also launched Beetel Magiq, a low-cost Android tablet.The seven-inch tablet, which runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), has been priced at Rs9,999.
Magiq's screen has a resolutionof 480 x 800 pixels. The tablet has two 2MP cameras and supports phone callsthrough a compatible Bluetooth headset. It is powered by a 1Ghz processor. Ithas 8GB internal storage, expandable up to 24GB through a 16GB SD card.According to some tech experts, the tablet is a re-branded Huawei S7 tablet.
